Home                                          Pyramid schemes..are nothing but a fraud.

About 18 months back I came across a few auctions that were selling information about
getting electronics for cheap(1000$ items for 100 $..etc).
I did email the person who bought the item for 57 bucks or so. The website she joined was matrix321.com
and of all places, its run from Romania. Inspires a lot of confidence, doesn't it?

The email below was the correspondence that took place that time. After a few months, I again tried emailing
her but got not response.

Recently I was looking for a tripod on ebay and still found those schemes operating with impunity.

Im guessing the people who sell these get shut down every now and then when people complain
about them on ebay and then start selling again with a different id.

Beware of the so called matrix schemes. Click here or scroll down the page to see what I found out
on google groups.

Its all a fraud.

    Pyramid Scheme.
This sells no printers, Pocket PCs or anything else listed. It sells
e-books for rather large amounts. The person who is at the "top of the
list" for each of the products receives the producut (associated with
the e-book) after twenty others purchase the e-book associated with it
and then the next moves up. By selling an "e-book" (which may be more
more than a 1K description of the product) the site claims that it makes
the Pyramid Scheme legal. I see that in some cases folks purchase
multiple copies of the ebook so that their names appear multiple times
on the pyramid scheme list. There is no guarantee of anything. Legally,
as their FAQ page indicates, all you are entitled to is the e-book you
purchase. The product from the pyramid scheme is just a "Free Gift" and
NOT what you purchase (if you are purchasing the e-book for another
reason ... well, then it would be an illegal pyramid scheme).

Is this for real ? Anyone tried it. ? Sally

This is, what comes as result. So save your money and read. :-)

Hi & Thanks for buying this information. Here is the information you
bid for :

Enjoy your new experience of buying cheaper !

So what is it all about ??

It works on the principle of a straight line matrix. In simple terms
what this means is when you pay your fee you join the bottom of the
queue, i.e. the 'Matrix.' The person on the top of the Full Matrix is
"Currently Cycling" which means as soon as the matrix is full, he will
receive his item. As soon as his matrix is full, he will be moved off
the list and the next person under him will begin his cycle. Based on
a
20 person matrix, in order for 5 people to receive an item, there
needs
to be 100 people in the matrix.

What they do to prevent the numbers from getting way out of hand is to
use a process they invented - called auto-cycling. Whenever they
receive
money from advertisers (people who advertise with us), they take 100%
of
that money and put in back into the matrices to automatically cycle
the
top person off the list. When this is done, the next person moves up
into the spot where person 1 was without disrupting the matrix flow.
In
a 20 person matrix, this essentially takes off 20 people that are
needed
for everyone to receive their item.

YOU ARE GUARANTEED TO RECEIVE YOUR ITEM- or a cheque to the value of
the
stated mrp of that item if you prefer! I know this sounds far too
good
to be true... but I am expecting a check for $220 as a result of a
$25.00 (£16) payment I made 6 weeks ago (I went on the matrix for the
PS2 and elected to take the money rather than the product)! If only
banks gave as good a return on your money as that!!!!

In the auction I advertised 11 differednt sites. However, since this
the
list has grown to over 20. You will find the list and a brief
description of each site in the enclosed attachment.

Each site has different payment systems. The most common are Stormpay,
money orders, and paypal. It is worth noting that some of the sites
are
restrictive on where they will ship the items to. Some of the sites
will
only offer the cash alternative for buyers outside the US and Canada,
but, since this could be over $1,000 for a $50 purchase it isn't all
bad!

Now some sites also offer pure cash matrices as well, so it could be
money for practically nothing!

It is also important to shop around for the best deals on an item. One
example of this is the Nintendo Gamecube, the cheapest I've seen is
£10,
but others may charge up to £20.

The associated value for each item, which you can choose as I did
instead of getting the item, is also listed on the web site.

THE CATCH

There isn't one!!!! Honestly!!! The only differences between getting
an item this way and buying it in a shop are:

1) You pay less for the item than you probably would pay in delivery
fees alone over here!

2) You have to wait until you have cycled before you get your item or
cheque. The length of time depends on how many people buy the item
you
have chosen and the length of the item's matrix. 3-6 months is a fair
estimate. you can log on at any time and see how you are progressing
on
your matrix to get an idea of how much longer it will be.

3) The items are in US voltage, which means you will have to buy a
special adaptor to use it over here. these retail at around £35.00
and
can be obtained in most electrical stores- no big deal considering how
little you are paying for the item!

FAQ's

1. How does this program work and what is auto-cycling?

The idea is based off a standard straight-line matrix. The person on
the
top of the Full Matrix is "Currently Cycling" which means as soon as
the
matrix is full, he will receive his item. As soon as his matrix is
full,
he will be moved off the list and the next person under him will begin
his cycle. Based on a 20 person matrix, in order for 5 people to
receive
an item, there needs to be 100 people in the matrix.

2. Is the matrix legal?

Yes! An example of an illegal matrix would be one where there is no
product immediately sold. Since you are buying a product (e-books)
there
is nothing illegal about it. The matrix entry is classed as a free
gift
to you when you purchase the e-books.

3. How do you make money if you are giving away "free" electronics?

These sites make money off the sale of e-books. When they have
accumulated
enough funds for a matrix, based off the size of the matrix, they send
out
a free item. The following example highlights this:
On a 20 person matrix at $25, when it is full there is $500
accumulated
dollars. They ship out a free item (or cash equivalent) valued at $220
making the total in-house dollars = $280. Once they have paid merchant
fees, employees, and miscellaneous fees such as advertising, they
still
profit an estimate of $50-$75.

4. How can I be sure I will get my free item?

They make our money off the sale of e-books. Your matrix entry is a
free
gift. While there are some people that buy e-books just for the return
on investment (ROI), I must remind you of the legalities behind these
programs. When you purchase e-books, they guarantee you a position in
the matrix and also guarantee that upon cycling said matrix, you will
receive your free electronics.

5. How long does it take to receive a free item?

The time to receive a free item depends on how quickly people buy the
e-books and are placed in the matrix. They cannot give you a
guaranteed
time of arrival.

If you have any further questions I will be happy to help!!

I will leave positive feedback for you now, and would appreciate it if
you could do the same for me!!

Thanks Firestarter!

Electronic Info & URLs

www.ezexpo.com

This is a well established site handling mainly electronics, though
recently they have added a $500 cash matrix that has enjoyed success.

They do ship internationally and offer a cash alternative for the
products when it is your turn to cycle.

Currently the only method of payment is via money order, but this
could change.

As it is popular and well established the lists are a lot longer, and
the average wait is 3-6 months.

www.myelectronics4u.com

This site has had some problems, but has rebounded well.

Their products are mainly electrical, but do offer a package for a
diamond bracelet.

As of 10th March they are awaiting a new merchant account, though you
can still purchase their e-books using Stormpay.

www.chargertek.com

This site is successful, but seems to be catered more towards the
specialised area of computer electronic items.

One very good thing about this site is that they run 4 person matrices
on selected items, though this may cost more to cover the cost of the
electrical item!

They accept both Stormpay and Paypal, so there is more variation and
this may also draw in more people willing to use Paypal rather than
Stormpay.

For those who order their packages outside the US & Canada there is
only a cash option as there is uncertainty as to the compatability of
US equipment to European voltage levels.

www.expo4less.com

This site is advertised as a ‘promotions company', so they are very
keen to promote themselves and others within their site. Daily updates
also help the consumer to try to find a bargain as they offer a wide
range of products at affordable prices, although they only offer the
cash equivalent to those outside the US and Canada.

At the moment they accept credit cards and money orders and there is
no mention of them altering this.

www.basicallyfree.com

This site is one that could be considered up and coming, but has
recently suffered some e-mail problems that should not discourage
potential dealings with them.

As this site is relatively new, the lists are very short at the moment
and are good for those who don't want to wait too long, so get in
there quick!

They mainly handle electrical equipment, but also stock accessories
such as console games and DVD films for extremely reasonable prices
($5 each for XXX / Minority Report / The Lord of The Rings / Spiderman
on DVD).

It is also worth noting that this site may not provide free shipping
to countries outside the continental US, but this depends on the size
of the item ordered.

At present this site uses Stormpay, but this may change as the site
becomes more established.

www.matrix321.com

This site is a relative newcomer in this area, which should encourage
others to sign up as the lists will be short.

They mainly deal with electrical items, but have recently introduced a
cash matrix ($35 to $100), which has so far proven to be a success,
the lines for this also are still quite short, when considering some
of the other sites available.

This company do offer international shipping, though there is no
mention of cash equivalents.

Currently they accept PayPal or Credit Cards, so there is a world of
opportunities for various payment possibilities.

www.matrixstacks.com

This site can only be seen as a success. The proprietor is open and
friendly and offers excellent value for money.

The site has over 25 different products that are all high quality
items, and offers a wide choice in manufacturers, from Sony to Bose
and Compaq to Hewlett Packard.

The site is updated regularly and is expecting a new merchant account
to be implemented on the 15th March.

They also offer cash equivalents on all products that are at least
equal to their retail value.

They are willing to ship internationally, but recommend that you take
the cash equivalent instead due to the costs involved.

www.giveawayclub.com

This site is to be seen as one of the more established, and has
regular updates to keep people cycling.

They mainly deal in electronics, but again these also offer the option
of the cash matrix, which can be very tempting!

The lists for this site are very short, but the packages they sell are
expensive compared to some of the other sites, but they make up for
this with short matrix lengths.

They will ship internationally, but do not offer a cash alternative at
the moment.

Currently, this site uses Stormpay, but this is due to change.

www.ezdeal4u.com

This site can be seen as being for the novice, as it is simplistically
set out and offers all necessary info without needing to delve into
subsections

Approx 25 different items are offered, all to a high standard and
reasonable prices.

Cash equivalents are available outside the US as shipping is not
possible.

The new merchant account for this site is Ginix.com which should
enable this site to flourish.

www.areyouinline.com

This site is particularly helpful and eager to help and please its
customers, and has also introduced linespeed to assist in the progress
of the queues. This concept is that when you buy the e-book you can
pay a bit more and occupy up to 3 spaces on the matrix for one price,
thus shortening the wait for your items.

All the products here are electrical and the site will ship
internationally, but do not offer a cash equivalent as yet.

At present they accept paypal, and there is no sign of this changing

www.what-is-the-ematrix.com

This site can be seen as new & advancing in this area of internet
businesses.

Though dealing mainly in electronics the do have a number of cash
matrices in different denominations up to $1000.

The products this site offers are expensive, but high quality, and may
be worth the outlay for some individuals.

Currently this site will not send anything, cash or electronics,
outside the US, so this one is for those across the water!

www.fast-cycle.com

This site is practically brand new! This means that there are
currently no queues! The update on the site says they expect to be up
and running by mid March, so that should be in a few days all being
well!

The equipment they offer is of a very high quality, but is very
expensive also. This is compensated by the very short matrix lengths
(they all seem to be 5 people only).

A cash alternative is available on some of the items, but, it is worth
checking for this detail before you click on submit!

Shipping is available worldwide for these items, but if you are unsure
about possible shipping charges be sure to ask them first!

This site will be accepting Stormpay for the foreseeable future, but
may change.

www.apitone.com

This site has been recently re-established, though I don't know why it
was stopped in the first place!

They offer a wide and varied range of electronics. International
shipping is available as well as a cash equivalent.

At the moment the only accept credit cards through their own checkout
system, but this may grow in future.

www.matrix4less.com

One of the first things about this site is that it is very open and
friendly and offers a variety of options rather than a standard price
for its products. This can be seen in it's inclusion of a forum for
people to get advice or just chat.

An example of this is that if you purchase a PS2, you then have the
option of which package to choose, the standard package, or the one
slightly more expensive, but with a few extras, such as a game with
it.

At present hey do not ship outside the US, but do offer a cash
alternative for international customers.

They are expecting a new merchant account quite soon, but you can
still buy items using paypal or stormpay.

www.imallz.com

This site has enjoyed success with its friendly and informative site.

They stock a wide range of electrical products as well as the now,
almost obligatory, cash matrix.

They are willing to ship outside the US, but may charge some fees for
this.

At the moment they accept paypal, but there is a strong chance that
this will change.

www.giftcardexpo.com

This site is very eager to keep the lists cycling and does what it can
to increase turnover in this area.

There is a wide and varied range of products both inside and outside
the usual electronic selection. They do have the cash matrix, but with
a variation as you can accept the cash or a gift depending on which
you signed up for originally. One example of this is that for $1000USD
you can get the cash or a grandfather clock! Another is a diamond
bracelet. These also offer products that would bnever normally be
considered for a matrix program, such as a go-kart or a foosball table
(table football for the uneducated Brits!)

You do have the option of the product or the cash, again it depends on
whether you are willing to pay towards shipping costs.

At the moment this site is between merchant accounts, but you can
still buy products with them through Stormpay.

It should be noted that they seem to be having some problems updating
their lists at the moment and seem to be stuck on February, in this
they are short, but nearly a month has passed since then!

www.mr-kits.com

At the moment this site is in the process of being taken over by
apitone.com (see above), and will continue to run as a matrix site.
This site has potential so keep an eye on it and mark it down as one
for the future!

www.advertmall.com

Like so many others this site is also changing its merchant account at
the moment, but don't let that put you off. The site itself is very
helpful and eager to keep members updated on any new details.

The products on offer include a wide range of electronics and games at
very reasonable prices, as well as the option of a cash auction.

Outside of the US, only a cash option is available, with no shipping
costs for US residents.

One of the interesting features of this site is that for each product
they offer two different tracks. This means that you can chose if you
want to pay more and go on the shorter cycle, or pay the standard
price and stay on the long cycle.

Currently this sites main account is with Stormpay, but this may
change in future, there is just no way of knowing!

www.ematrixusa.com

The first thing you notice about this site is that it is very personal
and friendly and does not seem as intimidating as some of the more
technical sites.

Currently they deal in electronics and cash in different denominations
with more items being added each month.

Like advertmall.com (above) these also adopt a number of options for
the buyer, but this time there are 3 options for track length: 5, 15
or 25.

They do offer a cash alternative on their products for international
customers as they do not deliver outside this area.

At the moment this site uses Ginix for its merchant account, which we
are assured is reliable, though personally I've had no experience with
them.

www.matrixline.com

This is one of the newly opened sites that has the advantage of short
lines with the disadvantage of a lack of publicity.

Opened on 1st March 2003 they carry a small range of electronic and
cash matrices but hope to add more as they grow.

Like other sites they are introducing there own schemes to improve
their service and this one is based on the idea that once you pay for
a single cycle and have completed that cycle, you are automatically
entered back onto the cycle for free for another complete run, which
therefore doubles your cash equivalent.

At the moment you can use paypal on this site, and there is no mention
of this changing.

www.matrixrevolution.net

This site can be seen as being run by experienced electronics dealers
with a very wide range of items, including, in car audio and visual
equipment as well as home theatre systems and cameras.

One fact that differs between this site and other is that instead of
having multiple lists, every transaction enters onto a single list to
speed up the cycle of the winners.

International shipping is available here as well as the cash
equivalent, and any payments can be made via stormpay at the present.

www.ontrackmatrix.com

This is a site dedicated to speed and ensuring that the buyers get
their products in a reasonable amount of time.

Despite having been open for less that 6 weeks, they offer an
extensive range if items above the electronic range, including
exercise equipment, blood pressure monitors and Rolex watches.

As they are so new the lists are very short, but that may soon change.

They are willing to offer both a cash equivalent and international
shipping so there is no limit of choice!

This is another site that accepts the popular Stormpay as its merchant
account, but this could change.

www.ezmatrixes.com

The comparisons you can make between this relatively new site and
ezexpo.com (above) are stunning. Although a new site, they seem to
have modelled themselves on one of the most established sites of this
nature.

They offer a good range of electronics, though don't seem to do cash
matrices as yet.

This site will ship internationally and do offer a cash equivalent to
anyone when they cycle.

This site also offers the chance to share your thoughts & comments in
a forum, which makes interesting reading!

Again Stormpay is a major feature.

www.gotmatrix.com

This is another of the new sites in this area, but has taken lessons
from the examples of others by also including a forum.

A wide range of electrical good is available with both in car and
consumer goods.

The cycles for this site are short but a password is needed to access
the lists for viewing.

Outside of the US only a cash option is available, however, there are
more payment options with paypal, credit cards and money orders
available for use.

www.extremematrix.net

Opened January 2003 this site presents many innovative ideas to
facilitate improvement in these sites, including a forum and a variety
of payment options.

They have brought in a wide range of interesting items with 2 payment
options available such as ‘til payday', which gives the purchaser up
to 2 weeks to pay for an item, or the standard buy now option. This
concept could really raise the number of purchases in these sites as
your name goes onto the lists before payment is complete, instead of
waiting those few extra days and losing maybe half a dozen places on
the lists which are currently quite short. They also have the concept
of ‘Warp Speed'. This entails a $30 ‘donation' to the company which is
then put aside and you will get your free item when there is enough
money put aside to pay for it, which avoids the longer waits for a
couple of people to sign up for you to complete your cycle.

They accept credit cards, wire transfers and money orders, with the
latter two generating a discount from the final cost.

Another incentive for this site is the short lists, which I expect to
rapidly increase

There is a generous cash alternative available on all their products,
though in this instance you have the choice as they do ship
internationally.

www.e-maytrixonline.extremematrix.net

This site was originally set up in Feb 2003, but was subsequently
taken over by extremematrix.com (above) in March 2003.

This site has a healthy and wide range of products that could appeal
to anyone, with the addition of a radio controlled Nitro Car.

www.viginc.com

This is another of the steadily growing new sites in this area and has
come prepared with a good range of items available at reasonable
prices, plus the obligatory cash matrices in different denominations.

The lists for this site are still reasonably short, but, it does seem
to have set itself up with a large amount of sponsorship from other
sites, so this one will be growing fast.

Another growing necessity is for a site to have its own checkout
facilities, which guides you through the process without the stress of
continuously sending e-mails to see why your order hasn't been logged.

I can't go on forever or I'll never send this out to you!

I will attempt to continue with this and already have more sites to
check out for part 2.

If you see auctions of mine and are not sure whether you already have
this info please feel free to contact me and I will sort something out
for you!
